When Jason Newsted left Metallica in 2001, the band set out to find a new bassist for the second time in their career. Did ya know their first choice was none other than Ramones bassist CJ Ramone? They asked him not once but twice to join the band. He told reporters recently that he simply could not do it as his son had just been diagnosed with autism and there was no way he could leave his side. CJ even talked to doctors about bringing his son with him on the road but it was not possible. But he says he knows he did the right thing and has no remorse and no regrets.
Courtney Love will supposedly tell all about her marriage to Kurt Cobain, her history of drug abuse and the strained relationship with her daughter in a new memoir for Harper Collins. Courtney will work with rock writer Anthony Bozza as co-author who had similar duties on the autobiographies of Tommy Lee and Slash.
Alecia Moore better known as P!nk will co-star with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim Robbins in the upcoming comedy Thanks for Sharing, a film that is reported to be about sex addiction. While P!nk has appeared in other films this will be the pop singer’s first serious role in a mainstream release.
